Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a district where we have a great number of English Language Learners and low-income students. My students face many challenges inside and outside the classroom to explore more Non-Fiction books. Despite these challenges, my students are always eager to learn new concepts. I want to provide my students with all the opportunities possible related to reading so they can hopefully retain the love of reading. I want to give them as many meaningful learning experiences as possible, So they can be successful in their educational career.

My students love to learn new things, especially if it involved nice colorful non-fiction books!

They get so excited when we get the opportunity to learn through new materials and retain the information. I want my students to be exposed to as many Non-Fiction books as possible.

My Project

The books will be used so students can have access to new reading materials. They will be available in the classroom library and it will expand the students learning on many themes throughout the year. Having non-fiction literature will increase students' vocabulary and knowledge about subjects.

Non-fiction literature will improve my students' vocabulary and knowledge.

By exposing my students to more nonfiction texts I will increase their knowledge of certain topics and will increase their everyday vocabulary. My hope is that they will take interest in these topics and expand their interest so they can expand their curiosity and take their learning to another level.
