My Project
I have a diverse group of students who are struggling with reading. I want to increase their access to non fiction text. My struggling readers enjoy non-fiction literacy but lack access to books at their instructional reading level. Having access to non-fiction decodable text will motivate them and build confidence in reading abilities. My students has addition opportunities to practice their foundational reading skills, as well as be able to be more independent and successful learning about non-fiction topics for comprehension, writing or science projects or assignments.
