My Students
I work in the South Bronx in a poor community. All the children receive free lunch. I am a Special Education Teacher and I work with 12 students. The majority of my student are boys and they all have a disability whether learning, speech or other.
As a special education teacher, I want to provide my students with all the resources needed such as books which will help them learn.
These students need books in order to read and learn. I have students who read level A book and I do not have these books in the classroom. I have about two students who read at level A books and I struggle finding these books.
A library will be great because all students will enjoy reading different leveled books. Teaching is such a rewarding experience. I love when I see my students faces excited and happy to have new resources. The classroom will be full of book and all the students will be excited to learn and explore new books. My Project
Non fiction books will help my students learn about differerent world topics. They will be able to write and share ideas in their Author Chair. They love when they sit down and share their ideas with their classmates. Then the students clap for them and they feel so proud.
