This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have spent the year learning behind rolling walls in a shared library space, without the comfort or consistency of a real classroom. Many come to school without basic supplies—or even clean clothes—and carry heavy emotional burdens. These materials will help me give them what they deserve: a warm rug to gather on, books that reflect their feelings, a calming tent to retreat to when it’s all too much, and journals to find their voice. Every item on this list is a step toward safety, stability, and belonging. Thank you!
