My Project

On March 24, 2023, an EF3 tornado ripped through our town, demolishing many of our favorite landmarks which included our softball and baseball fields and facilities. The following morning, you could find most of our student athletes removing debris and helping with cleanup efforts. Since that day, our players have made and continue to make sacrifices to play the game they love so much and are eager to have a home field.

It's not just a game - it's a place for families to unwind after a long day, it's a reason to eat hamburgers and beignets on a tailgate in right field, and it's a way for our community to come together!

These are a few reasons I need your help!

Currently, our middle schools teams travel across town to multiple locations in order to practice. This project will allow for an indoor batting cage to be installed in the AMS gym. This will provide all of our softball and baseball players a facility to practice at home and it will provide an indoor facility for our student athletes for years to come. In addition to the cage, this project will fund an L-screen, turf mat, backstop and a few smaller pieces of equipment to help my student athletes have effective practices. Help support our teams and give them a practice facility of their own!
