A birthday can sometimes be that one day where a connection is made with a simple gesture as a card. I love to get to celebrate my students' special day with them. When I am able to hand them a pencil and band, they light up!
Help me celebrate every child in my classroom for just being born.
Birthdays allow a quick light to shine on individuals and can often bring a smile from that shy one or one that has been a little rough around the edges. Just telling them happy birthday can make all the difference. Add a card, pencil and wristband and their day is just a little brighter. I watched even my toughest boys get excited to get a wristband.
Thank you in advance for helping my students feel special, as they should.
