This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Children learn through play. Transitional kindergarten students deserve the opportunity to use their imagination daily and have access to materials they can play with.

I teach a combination kindergarten/ transitional kindergarten class.

My students are very creative and inquisitive. They love to use their imagination to role play. They enjoy reading, writing, and art, but most of all they love to learn through play!

My Project

Unfortunately, all of the play materials my school has for them to use during recess are extremely old, broken, or not functioning. With nothing usable or of high interest for them to play with they end up running around the yard! These materials will be a great addition to our play area. My students will have something to play with and that will diminish behavior problems on the playground.

Without these materials my students won't have anything to play with during recess.

They will continue to run around and get benched! Please help my students spend their play time playing not sitting!
