My Project

Research (and 12 years of teaching) has proven that students are more focused, successful, and productive learners if they are not asked to sit in a desk all day long. My students will be given an opportunity to choose a productive seating option each day.

My goal is to create a learning environment that is comfortable yet rigorous and engaging for kids.

Giving them the autonomy over their seating choice teaches them responsibility for themselves and their learning. I want to provide my students with alternatives to sitting in a desk throughout their day.
