This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students live in a small city with population less than 6000 with 99.4 % being economically disadvantaged and 61.9% at risk students. Most of the students that attend my class have a low economic background. Despite the odds of my students they come to school everyday with a big smile on their faces and ready to learn. They continue to thrive and push themselves to receive the education needed to succeed.My students would benefit from receiving additional resources.
What I love about my students is not only are they ESL (English as a Second Language), but they are extremely eager to learn new concepts every day.
My Project
As we know, educators of 21st Century scholars need to have differentiated learning, which is a key role in the culture of today's classroom. At economically disadvantaged schools, it is extremely difficult for students to keep up with 21st Century learning. Our campus has this dilemma: students need and WANT to learn. Educators want to provide and expose students to technology based strategies to build max potential in our future scholars. The Mimioteach provides students with interactive lessons that a 21st Century scholar needs to have to build not only curriculum based knowledge, but confidence in today's technological world, too.
