My Project

Each year, I host justice and activism workshops that allow students to research and write argumentative essays on the different injustices in the world. These workshops teach my students their rights and how to advocate for themselves in their own neighborhoods. Each year, I find that my scholars become more vocal about their rights & understand the climate of the world at the end of the unit.

By the end of the unit, students are more empowered and knowledgeable on their own rights, racial injustices, and the different types of activism.

The TPT card that I am requesting today will allow me to buy vibrant and engaging articles and activities from TPT's website. I am also requesting folders today so that my scholars will have a place to keep their articles, writing, graphic organizers, and other handouts. In conducting these writers' workshops, I know that I am helping to develop future activists.

All in all, the materials that I am requesting today will allow my scholars to publish their argumentative essays. I know this experience will create a core memory for them.
