No Frontiers, No Barriers in our Multicultural Class!
Help me give my students one Apple iPad as a research tool in my AP Spanish Language and Culture class and as a resource for differentiated instruction, and recording practice.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students come from a variety of different economic and social backgrounds. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in Doral.
Most of my students come from Hispanic immigrants who came to the United States for political, economic, and social reasons.
I have a considerable number of students from Venezuela who came to the United States recently due to the crisis that is taking place in the country. In addition, there are also some Puerto Rican students who have had to leave their country after Hurricane Irma.
We share all their experience and cultural background in the classroom and try to make them feel confident and proud of their language and roots.
My Project
In today’s world, it is imperative for us, teachers, to provide students with access to the technologies that will allow them to know about different cultures that are part of their future world.
In modern foreign languages, teaching practice sometimes makes the teacher seem like the main source of knowledge taking into account that most students will not travel to the country whose language they study.
So they will be able to use applications that will bring learning to read to life.
I have 245 AP Spanish Language and Culture students, some of them have special needs. The Apple iPad is an essential element within my classroom bringing real videos, inspiring talks, and cultural images within reach for any learner, especially for those kids who have special accommodations such as autistic or ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder) students. In addition, one of the skills we need to practice in class is the presentational speaking in which the students have to record their oral presentations. Some of my students do not have a cell phone to practice in class or do not have digital access at home for research work or homework assignments. The Apple iPad would enable those students not to feel unequal and to have the same opportunities as their peers.
More than half of students from low‑income households
