My Project
No Fear Shakespeare King Lear will help my AP for All Composition and Literature students access a text that can otherwise seems complicated and difficult to understand. My AP students are driven, hardworking, and determined, but they still struggle with higher level text. No Fear Shakespeare helps them with the struggle to understand Shakespeare and allows for full immersion in the story.
The goal with the project is to ultimately give my students access to a text that would otherwise seem impossible.
My students are hardworking and try their best in everything they do, so this will help them to understand a higher order text easier.
My students are special because they are under-credited over-age high schoolers at a NYC DOE Transfer School. Traditionally these students haven't done well, but now they are excelling and pushing themselves at the AP level.
