Fun Learning Makes Learning Fun
I am a 7th grade Math and Science teacher. I am wearing two other hats, which are the Union Site Rep and the Positive Behavior Support Coordinator. The Union Site Rep is to ensure all teachers' rights are met. The Positive Behavior Support position is to help maintain a safe, positive, and fun learning environment for all students. My school is located in a high-need community where most students have never had a chance to watch a performing arts or a live show.
Since I am in charge of organizing school events and gatherings such as school dances, assemblies, and festivals, we are working on student performance in singing, dancing, and fashion show to feed these events. To make these events successful, we need a good CD/DVD system to provide a music background supporting students' performance.
The CD will provide a music background during the festivals, school dances, and assemblies to cheer up students and get them excited about the events. The DVD will be used to put up documentary films related to our curriculum. We will also show movies for Movie-Nights for students and families during social events. We also use the DVD as a tool to centralize kids and babysit them while their parents attend Parent Council Meetings. These events will be organized alternately throughout the year, which there will always be one event per week.
With the CD/DVD player, we can turn our events into fun activities and fun learning environment where kids look forward to them as a fun treat every week. By looking forward to these events, kids will have to work hard in class and behave well in order to earn the privilege and be allowed to attend. This strategy will help improve positive behavior throughout the school.

Your help will make a difference for the 250 kids in my school who are thirsty and hunger for performing arts and entertaining events and activities in school.
