My students need 3 sets of poly bones to learn about the human body.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Hutchison's classroom raised $192
This project is fully funded
I teach Elementary Physical Education, K-6, in a small neighborhood school. Many of the students come from broken homes or single parent families.
Some of our students get free or reduced meals and many of the other students are overweight. We are talking about obesity and the effects on the human body. They are really taking an interest in learning about the body.
I would like enough poly bones sets to give the children ample opportunity to see the makeup of the body and learn about the bones. While learning about the bones they will also be learning about the effects that obesity has on the various parts of the body. They will be able to identify the systems/areas that are effected by obesity.
With your help I believe that we can take a proactive approach to help curb the obesity epidemic that is starting to take over our young students. Maybe by learning of the ill effects that obesity has on the body and having a hands on visual of the body it will help drive the point home that we need to start early on in life to make a difference in the quality of life that the students will have. Thank you for your time.
