This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Each year, I welcome a new group of motivated students into my AVID class—students who are determined to succeed but often face barriers beyond their control. Many come from families experiencing financial hardship, and with the rising cost of living, the need for basic school supplies continues to grow.

Success in AVID depends on having access to specific tools that support collaboration, organization, and academic growth; Essential items like binders, binder supply kits, pens, and permanent markers play a critical role in team building activities and our weekly AVID tutorials.

Every student deserves the chance to thrive without the added stress of lacking classroom essentials. My goal is to provide each AVID student with the materials they need to participate fully, stay organized, and focus on reaching their goals throughout the school year.
