Next Generation Coders: A Tablet for Programming

My Project

The more I work with students, the more enraptured I become by computer science and programming. Technology has advanced so quickly since I was in school, and I learned to search the Internet in the computer lab.

Our students will be the next generation of computer scientists, programmers, and software engineers, which means they will need access to the latest computer science education!

I am lucky enough to have nine incredible educational robots called Dashbots. Unfortunately, these fantastic little robots can sit in my closet unused without a tablet to pair them with.

Your donation will go towards a tablet that will teach the fundamentals of programming and coding to over 14 classrooms in grades K through 5. Students will learn sequencing, loops, and if/then conditions—and that's only the computer science side! This work also engages high-level success skills like cooperation, leadership, problem-solving, and perseverance.
