This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are incredibly curious, creative, and full of potential. As a Title I school, many of our students face economic challenges, but that doesn’t dampen their enthusiasm for learning and discovery. They come to the STEM Center eager to explore new ideas, experiment with technology, and tackle unique challenges. Despite limited resources, their determination and resilience shine through, making every opportunity to create and innovate a chance to grow and learn. We were recently blessed with the addition of laser cutter/engravers to our school and STEM Center.

To really make the most of our laser cutters, we’re asking for wood sheets and a rotary tool so students can cut custom pieces, engrave designs, and build more intricate projects.

These materials will open up even more creative possibilities, helping students learn real-world skills while having fun experimenting with design and engineering.
