First grade students love to learn! They are excited about being in school but, for many of these young scholars, learning to read is hard work. Many of my students don’t have books at home to practice their reading. Scholastic News can be a meaningful and exciting way to bring the love of reading to my students.
By donating to this project, you can make reading fun to learn and show my students how enjoyable reading can be.
Students will receive their own, colorful, weekly magazine with exciting and engaging articles. They will be able to practice their newly acquired reading skills in a fun and meaningful way in class. Then, they will have the opportunity to take home their magazine to share with their families and show how their skills are improving each and every week.
