Help me give my students a weekly reading subscription to share at home.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Arnold's classroom raised $301

My Students
My Kindergarten class is in an inner city Title 1 school. My class is comprised of an amazing group of diverse students who love to read and to be read to. Our entire morning is spent on Literacy activities that will help my students to be lifelong learners.
Many of my students have personal challenges that may impede their learning unless they have the proper tools and instruction necessary to empower them to become lifelong learners.
That's where small group instruction comes in. I am able to meet the children at their current skill level and, from there, advance their skills to the next level.
My Project
My students are constantly telling me that they do not have books to read at home and therefore can not practice or show off their new reading skills. I have a classroom library but it is simply not big enough to give my super readers enough new books to read each week. Having a weekly reader will allow my students a regular new piece of reading material to work with in class. They will then take home the weekly readers and share their reading skills with their family. This will be a huge sense of pride for them as well as allow the extra practice that all readers need.
