it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Alongside the 5th grade general education teacher in an inclusion class, I would love for the students to have updated versions of the book "Belle Prater's Boy." The book deals with children their age and keeps their interest throughout.
We have been using this particular book, "Belle Prater's Boy," for years; trouble is, the versions we have are old and breaking apart.
Because of this, the students are becoming distracted and somewhat ashamed of the books. This is especially true for some of the special education students in the room.
I am sure you will agree that reading, especially chapter books, is an integral part of students' growth this age. The book "Belle Prater's Boy" is one tool that has proven to be effective for me doing so. This tool desperately needs updating though. Thank you for your attention.
