it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Kilmer is known as one of the most diverse school in all of Chicago. We have a student body of 800 children, inclusive of over 450 Multilingual Learners, from pre kindergarten through eight grade, representing over 45 different languages.
These translation devices will help staff communicate with our immigrant families and our beloved students from day one.
For families facing a communication barrier and so many unknowns, having this tool will make a difference in feeling they can be heard and important documents can be understood.
