Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a first-year teacher, I’m incredibly excited to welcome my students into our classroom! Starting fresh is a great opportunity—but it also means starting with a nearly empty space. I’ve inherited a room with very few supplies, limited furniture, and little organization in place.
My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where my students can focus, feel comfortable, and thrive.
To help make that possible, I’m looking to add a few key items that will truly transform our classroom—like a rug for our gathering space, a rolling cart and standing desk to support flexible teaching and learning, bulletin board paper to brighten up our walls, and a label maker to bring some much-needed organization.
I know the costs can add up, but each item will play an important role in building a space where students feel valued, supported, and ready to learn.
