My students need 12 expanding files because they are generating lots of arguments and must keep them organized and ready for action!
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Stevens's classroom raised $481
This project is fully funded
My school's debate program brings together roughly three dozen highly curious, hard-working and articulate youngsters in grades 9-12 for practice three days a week and Saturday tournaments twice a month or more.
This year's debate topic is the pros and cons of expanding social services to persons living in poverty in the US. Whether debriefing results of our last tournament or brainstorming new positions for the future the heart of our preparation is putting together updates for our many files and blocking out arguments we know we will need in future debates. Organizing many answers for handy access is key.
Right now we are working with manila files. Students are transporting evidence in plastic shopping bags. While I relish the victories we compile over better-equipped programs, a small contribution of expanding files will set up us for greater organization and success. We have qualified for state and national championships with our current practices. Your generous support will be a small part of helping us go further than ever this season.
We look forward to sending you a package showing how we are putting your contribution to our debate program to good work!
