My Students

My students are kindergartners in Carlsbad, California. We are a multicultural classroom with so much to share and learn from each other.

In my kindergarten classroom, we will explore, inquire, communicate, collaborate, experiment, practice, create, and grow each day in an environment that is safe for all learners.

I am so proud to be a part of their foundation and help inspire these great little minds! They are all so very excited to learn each day and give their best in our classroom community, as well as in the strong school-wide community we have built.

My Project

A new year is upon us! My kindergarteners are ready to build even more skills in reading, math, and science/STEM while having some fun.

Kindergarten academic skills are growing rapidly and offering high-interest books and engaging learning activities really helps to motivate these young learners.

Elephant and Piggie books are just right for many of my budding readers to choose during center time choice reading. Winter-themed books will also be choice reading material as we continually discuss seasonal changes, snow, and animals.

The center activities will provide language arts, math, and STEM opportunities while working independently or in groups. The activities in this project will support letter and number identification as well as fine motor skills in sorting and building. I feel it is very important to offer engaging activities for practice and growth in multiple skills each day.
