This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is my second-year teaching at our school in Dallas Texas. This will be the first year that I am teaching third grade. I will be teaching reading, science, math and social studies. The students in my class come from a diverse low-income area.
I need these classroom materials to better my students education and to be able to teach to all my students.
The materials will be used to help students learn about organizations and the fundamentals of math and reading. The notebooks will be used for taking notes about different types of books and doing real word mathematics problems. The bins and the label maker will be used for organization of the classroom. The bins will have different of genres of books and different classroom materials. The label maker will create label for the bins. For example, a bin will be labeled nonfiction, and, in the bin, there will be nonfiction books in it. The headphones are for when students are working independently at stations. Some of the online stations that the students use will use will have a voice reading them a book or explaining a math problem. The writing tools will be used for students to take notes and color code their notes to help them better comprehend the lesson.
All the materials will be used every day and will enhance the education for the students that I am teaching. I am excited for the upcoming year.
