My Students
As a new school year approaches, we are faced with the challenge of distance learning. There are many resources online that I can use to meet my students' needs, but I need technology to facilitate. While the district is providing Chromebooks for the students, teachers are left with old computers and little resources. A new laptop would allow me to better connect with my students.
My Project
For many years now, I have used second hand, donated computers in my classroom. Over the years, they have become slow and many of the programs are no longer being supported or updated. When distance learning forced me to teach from home, I was unable to use lessons and documents saved on the computers. I would love to have a new laptop to replace the desktop computers. This would allow me to have reliable, up-to-date technology for daily class meetings. It would also afford me the flexibility to effectively teach from home or school as distance learning continues.
