My Project

At the beginning of each year, I stock up on fresh treats for my students. This year, I'll be in two offices so I'm also asking for new office basics for myself. Among the fresh treats are snacks to help them to feel comfortable and meet a small need. I also am asking for fidgets. This is something that is really helpful as many of my students have attention deficit issues and require support to maintain focus. I am also asking for birthday cards.

Something as small as a birthday card or a snack can really make a student feel loved and seen.

We want students to know that they belong and these items are some of the small ways that help! Another way to help students to know that they belong is to have accessible seating. Oftentimes, students are seated in chairs that do not provide the support they need. Things as simple as these cube chairs that allows students to have their feet firmly on the floor so they don't have to worry about core stabilization really help our students focus on their learning.
