This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students belong to a low-income community where basic sources are not available. The majority of them don't attend to preschool, therefore they start the year behind other kids in the country. My project is aiming to provide engaging materials that can help the students to close the academic gap in a fun way. The materials that I am asking for are utilized in ECE programs and teach very basic skills. For instance, I am looking for number puzzles, letter puzzles, board games, etc. My strategy is to start the year providing fun experiences, where playing guides our learning.
