My Students
My classroom is unique, as I will have the same group of students for two consecutive years. These kiddos come from low-income families, so I'm honored to be able to expose them to as many engaging academic resources as I can provide.
"Love you" is what the kids hear everyday in our classroom.
The kids feel loved by me; therefore, they work hard for me. As we work together for a common goal, I am able to see them grow into confident, strong children.
My Project
Since my students are looping with me from fourth grade to fifth grade, we need to update our materials and extra resources that supplement my instruction. We have many materials that focus on fourth and fifth grade standards, but we need new activities to keep the students engaged.
We're asking for short texts to supplement our writing instruction.
Writing to text is a challenging skill for students to master. With these easy-to-read texts, this will make writing instruction more engaging!
We're also asking for new fiction and non-fiction comprehension materials. It's always a challenge to find engaging texts that will hold their interest yet, still at or above grade level. The materials we are requesting fit the needs of all of my students in the class!
