My students need a large and small carpet for our classroom.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Munoz's classroom raised $490

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a part of a Title I, inner-city school located within a community with an economically disadvantaged population. Every child in our school receives free or reduced-price lunch, and a large percentage of our students are considered homeless. Despite this, my students are excited to be part of a learning community where they feel safe and cared for. The majority of our families have a first language other than English, and our program is designed to immerse the students in English and prepare them to be college ready.
My Project
This carpet will be the center of activity in the classroom, so it will be a major improvement in the environment of the classroom. The carpet will be inviting for all students to sit on. With a carpet in the center of the room we would have a large space for the class to congregate for direct instruction, teacher led discussions, centers, and creative play. The smaller carpet will be placed in our library so that the students can enjoy a quiet and clean space to read a good book.
My project will make a difference because it will provide us with a two new classroom carpets, which we desperately need.
I know that my students will enjoy every second on that new carpets and they will owe it, all to you.
