Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students at our school are the absolute best!! They have worked so hard this year and building a love of reading by bringing home 'book bags', engaging in daily guided reading groups, and bringing school library books home each week. A love of reading is the start, and teaching through reading is the next step!

The Mo Willems books will build the love of reading, the Molly Coxe books will build understanding of vowel sounds, and Janik Coats' books are an incredible way to teach grammar!

I can't wait to add more Pigeon books to our classroom, and to start building a phonics library within my classroom!
