This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Last year, many of my students had trouble adjusting to being back to in-person instruction at our school site. In some cases, these social and emotional issues hindered students' ability to learn.

I want my students to feel good about themselves and have a healthy self-image.

Therefore, I am requesting quality books that deal with social emotional well-being and issues like showing kindness, how to deal with worrying, and accepting differences. These books will be read aloud to students and students will be able to share their feelings and experiences in a safe space.
