My Students

Welcome to Mrs. Cobb's Pre-Algebra and Algebra I courses. In this class, students are engaged in rigorous lessons in an effort to become some of the top students, not only in the city of Washington, DC but in the nation as well. My students come from low-income backgrounds and cannot afford the basic necessities as their high achieving counterparts can.

My students should not feel hindered or restricted on the ladder of success because of their limited access.

To make this happen, we need to follow the adage of 'it takes a village to raise a child'. Please help my students reach their goals, not only in school but in life as well.

My Project

These materials will go directly to my students. They will allow my students to have access to all the needed materials within the class. These supplies will be used to decorate the classroom and create tools for data assessment tracking. The folders, pencils, decorations such as butcher paper, border, writings paper and markers will also be used for the students in terms of pencil and paper to complete their classwork. Within my school, there is often a struggle for materials and who can bring what. With this project, the students will only need composition books to have a successful school year as they prepare for high school. Thank you for considering donating to us!
