My Students
I have 11 boys and 9 girls. They come from poverty stricken neighborhoods. They come from various cultural and economic backgrounds. This offers a great challenge for myself as well as my students. It also offers a great opportunity for people to work together and learn about others and their way of life. They attend an inner city Title 1 school that struggles to keep and maintain adequate equipment and supplies.
My Project
As COVID-19 has forced teachers to find new creative ways to support their students. So many of my students are from low-income communities. Many of my students' families lack financial security, economic opportunities, health care, and other supports and resources.
The camera will be used to capture the images of my scholars to share their important moments in real time.
The laptop will be used to engage with the students daily during the Pandemic, which several students are working virtual while overcoming COVID. Hybrid learning is becoming our new normal.
