Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is a Title 1 school in California where more than half of the students are from low-income households. Our school has a uniform policy where students are expected to wear a uniform. There are times when our families cannot afford them and students are wearing uniforms that no longer fit or they are simply not a uniform. It would be great if we could give our students, especially the ones whose families struggle financially, access to a clean uniform when times are rough. It would help to build their confidence as well as avoid the stress of having to wear the same worn-out outfit all week.

My project idea is to have accessible uniforms for our students who need a change of clothes.
