New Uniforms for Our Middle School Boys' Basketball Team

My Students

Our Middle School boys basketball team was founded in 2016 with help from DonorsChoose. We recently completed our 2nd season with a winning record!

My team is made of 12 to 15 boys in grades 6-8 all coming from diverse backgrounds.

At EPA students are required to not only learn state standards but also learn Mandarin as part of their curriculum.

Our team motto is "More than an athlete" and being a part of the basketball team has given these guys motivation to excel on and off the court.

My Project

Our school is a public charter school in West Columbia, South Carolina. We receive less funding than traditional public schools in our area. Therefore, the majority of sports equipment must be purchased through school fundraisers.

Having new Nike uniforms will allow us to look official on the court and create a sense of Panda Pride for years to come.

The East Point Academy boys basketball team currently only has one set of uniforms, which are royal blue. In competitive basketball, the home team typically wears white and the away team wears their school colors.

The coaching staff has worked hard to establish this new program and all donations will be greatly appreciated!
