This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are having so much fun this year! However, right now, the playground equipment at our school is being repaired so we can't actually use our playground. We play out on the field that the older students use for their PE time. It is fun but it gets kind of boring out there with no toys to play with. We are hoping to get some new balls to play with. Then they could practice throwing and catching skills. My students haven't had many opportunities to play outside with other kids since their aren't many parks in our neighborhood.
We also need fun art supplies like dot markers, foam paint and play dough.
At this point in the year, my students are pretty bored of all of the materials I have in the art area. They are really hoping for some new supplies to explore. I think they would have a lot of fun creating with these new things.
It is has been so important to me that they have a good time this school year since many of them didn't get to attend preschool or daycare last year due to COVID. For the majority of my students, this is their first experience in school ever. I want to make it the best possible school experience that I can!
