Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students benefit from visual supports to help them stay on task, manage their emotions, and understand abstract concepts especially in math. Number lines will make math more concrete and accessible, while timers help students manage transitions and stay focused.

Social-emotional visual check-ins like multiplication charts are just as important.

They help students express how they’re feeling, recognize emotional patterns, and practice regulation strategies in a safe and supportive environment. These tools are especially helpful for students with IEPs, ADHD, or anxiety, but in reality, all students benefit from visual cues that support structure, self-awareness, and focus.

By integrating both academic and social-emotional visuals in the classroom, I’m creating a more inclusive and responsive learning environment where students feel safe and empowered to engage fully.
