New Teacher- -Building a Book Loving & STEM-Exploring Classroom!

Help me give my students a class library and STEM manipulatives. I'm a brand new 2nd grade teacher hoping to build a classroom library and hands-on STEM center to ignite curiosity, creativity, and love for learning.

My Project

Hello! I'm a first-year 2nd grade teacher in a Title 1 public school. I strive to meet the needs of my energetic, curious, and diverse students. Many of my kids come from homes where access to books and hands-on learning tools is limited, so my classroom will be one of their first chances to fall in love with reading and explore STEM through play.

I am working to create a cozy, engaging classroom library filled with high-interest books that support different reading levels and backgrounds.

I also want to build a STEM station with manipulatives like building sets, magnets, and simple coding tools that encourage teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Our school has a soft start and these materials will help my students start their day in a positive, creative and calm way. These resources will support my students to grow as readers, creators, and thinkers. Every donation—no matter the size—will directly support their learning and help me create a warm and enriching space they can be excited to walk into every day.
