Help me give my students the classroom environment they deserve! We are thankful for what we have, however, I would love to provide new tables for our art classroom.
My school is located in a high poverty urban area in the second largest city in the state of Maine. I am the Art Teacher and I am blessed to be working with each and every student! Many of my children have very diverse backgrounds, speak many languages and have special needs. Our entire school is on a free breakfast and lunch plan, along with snacks such as; fruits or vegetables each day. The reality for most of our students is that school might be the only stable and engaging environment in their lives. It is our job to keep these students engaged, excited and motivated! The one thing that each one of our wonderfully diverse students posses is the ability and drive to learn. I would like to continue this positive motivation and help inspire them in the Art Room.
My Project
As I’m settling into the new role, I’m loving my job and experiences with the students more and more each day! We have so much fun and dive right into exploring and creating every day, and every week! While sharing my passion for the arts with each classroom of students, I also want to provide a comfortable environment. It’s time to replace the old art tables that are full of scratches from past years expression and hard work. You can help make a difference in these children’s lives! This is a big project but with the right help and the right motivation I believe we can make this happen! Please help us provide the essentials, such as tables and chairs for these wonderful children.
