New Tables and Chairs Needed for Little Learners! Part 3
My students need 3 chairs and 1 table.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Carroll's classroom raised $495

My Students
I teach kindergarten at a large urban school district. Our school is a high-needs status school with over 90% of our students qualifying for free and reduced lunches.
Most of my students are English Language Learners from low income homes.
They are eager to learn and love school. Each school year my class size keeps increasing. I am expecting 29 students in my class this fall. With the increase in class size I find that the furniture I now have is too bulky and consumes too much space.
My Project
The tables and chairs that I am requesting are age appropriate. The long rectangle table will seat 10 students which will take up less classroom space. In turn students will be able to move around the room more freely without having to worry about bumping into each other. The chairs that I currently have are too big for my students. Students often tip back in them or do not sit in them safely because they are not comfortable for their bodies. This creates a safety concern for me as their teacher. If students are comfortable and at ease and have free space to claim as their own then learning will also be the same.
New chairs and tables will benefit my students by keeping them safe and comfortable.
Students will be less distracted by having enough personal table space and will be more likely to concentrate on a given task. The furniture that I am requesting is warm and colorful which also sends a message of care. Thank You for supporting this project!
