This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every morning, students walk into our ELA class buzzing and energetic, ready to learn. They come with questions, deep insights, and bright ideas. Being in middle school isn't easy though!

Let's start this school year off successfully!

Living in what was once considered "the poorest congressional district in the country", otherwise known as the South Bronx, our students face more challenges than some people we may know. Despite the challenges they may face outside of our walls, they give school their all and try their hardest every day.

My Project

Starting off their 7th grade year with school necessities will help our kids feel successful, an important feeling when you're a pre-teenager/teenager! Having folders, binders, notebooks, pens, and pencils will help them across all of their core classes. This will reach well beyond ELA class since the supplies will be used in all of their classes.

Join me in helping our 7th graders start the year off with a bang!

Middle school is already a tough time for many of them. Getting these supplies will allow our kids to start off feeling prepared. It'll be one last worry not only for them but for their families as well.
