My students need a lot of love, attention, and support from teachers. Our school is located in a low-income area, and most of our students do not have the means to obtain the proper school supplies they need to be successful for the school year. Building a warm, safe, and inviting classroom community is so important for my students.
My students are curious, enthusiastic, and creative, they are ready to immerse themselves in any type of challenge.
They are fearless when it comes to technology, and as children of the 21st century, they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage their world.
I hope to receive support from DonorsChoose.org in order to help my students get the necessary supplies, create a sense of community, safety, and comfort in my classroom, as well as help my students create lasting memories to help them connect positively to school. I appreciate your support in helping my students to obtain what they need to learn and grow!
My Project
Now that we are approaching the middle of the school year, we are starting to run out of supplies that I purchased at the beginning of the year and we are in desperate need of more supplies!
We need new supplies for low-income students to ensure success!
We need dry erase markers to continue to participate during math and reading instruction on our personal whiteboards, new folders for our writing area since all of our folders are ripping at the seams, new pencils since all our pencils are almost gone, a new laminator and laminating sheets to laminate words for the word wall to enhance student vocabulary and to create lasting math and ELA games to enhance student learning.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
