Our smart and engaging students are interested in expanded opportunities. They want to explore their ideas with hands-on projects that allow them to develop and solve problems in a way that reflects the nature of such context in real life. Our students only see possibilities in the world despite the many obstacles they face outside the classroom. Our students are bright, engaging, clever and believe in themselves. As their teacher, I am committed to providing them with unlimited opportunities to have fun.
My Project
We are in need of some supplies for new and different projects in our art room. I am wanting to try new lessons with my class but we are missing some crucial supplies to make them happen. We love doing pixel art but we are limited to graph paper or legos which can not be taken home. My students would grow so much in their design process exploring perler beads. Not only would they be able to make artwork but they could stretch their process to include how they want to finish their design and its functionality. Our class is also in need of a new drying rack. Our current rack is bent and does not allow us to use both sides because of our current space constrictions in our classroom. My students would love to have the opportunity to use 3D pens. We have been working really hard on expanding our knowledge of 3D design. This tool would help differentiate instruction for my students who have difficulty using our other 3D mediums.
