This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This upcoming year is going to be extra special. I get to move from 3rd to 4th grade and a handful of my students get to come with me! I was beyond excited when my principal told me he wanted me to move grade levels because I have the best class!

I requested that ALL my students could move up with me but the principal had to be fair and mix the grade level up a little bit.

Since I have a handful of students in my class again I want them to feel like they are older and they aren't just repeating 3rd grade again. I want to make sure they start the year off with their own supplies that are age-appropriate for them and they are proud of their belongings.

I have been teaching 3rd grade for a while now and I am so excited to move up and teach 4th grade and I want to make sure I do right by the students. Besides teaching them a new curriculum I want to make sure my classroom looks appropriate for older students. I also want to make sure my prize bucket, their school supplies, and anything else I gift them don't feel like they're for "babies".
