My Project

Throughout the COVID pandemic, music programs have been affected as much as, if not more than, any other educational program. Even when we were able to play instruments and sing, we needed to wear masks, limit our time making music, and much more. We are still catching up. Students are gradually coming back to band, choir, orchestra, and other music courses, and we need to get them new strings so they sound great.

New strings will help my students recover from the setbacks of COVID restrictions by refreshing their sound.

The provision of supplies like strings will offer opportunities to succeed. Students who received less than the typical instructional time due to COVID restrictions need strings because we haven't been able to replace them properly.

If this project is funded, it will help students catch up from the setbacks of the COVID pandemic, while providing the strong Social-Emotional benefits afforded by the performing arts.
