Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love seeing students thrive in a place where they feel safe, have fun, and want to learn. It is especially fun when we see so much learning through play! In TK, students will learn through play and socialization - the items from this project will provide lots of opportunities to do just that.
Problem solving, compromising, taking turns, working with others - these are just a few of the skills that students in my TK classroom will learn and practice every day.
This project will help to add some new and fun materials to our STEM learning, and give us more opportunities to practice our fine motor skills. New blocks, stringing activities, and sorting toys will help us collaborate, take turns, and problem solve with others. New plastic jars will store loose parts for inventive and open play. And math tools such as 3D geometric shapes and a magnetic adding machine will support discovery and learning opportunities.
Play is such an important part of learning, especially for 4 - 5 year olds. I am excited to provide a classroom where purposeful play will lead to powerful learning opportunities
