This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My goal is to create an environment that reaches the individualized needs of all of the students in my classroom.
The materials provided in the school's setting does not always favor the students that learn via tactile.
As such, one of the materials in the cart is tactile liquid letters. This item would be utilized with students that lack the motor skills to write.
Additionally, many of the students would benefit from a sensory diet. The goal of incorporating the requested sensory items into the students environment is to support self-regulation and attention span.
