New Start - New School Year for an ESL Classroom

Help me give my students a wonderful, new colorful classroom they can look forward to !

My Students

I am an ESL grade teacher in Pennsylvania. My classroom is made up of many eager 3rd to 8th graders. I also have a wide range of reading and math abilities in my classroom. I am the teacher with an ESL classroom.

My reading levels range from per-kindergarten to eighth grade.

It's important that I read with these children every day in order to get them on grade level by the end of the year. All my students get free or reduced-price lunch, and all these children love coming to school.

My Project

When the students enter the classroom for the 2021-2022 school year I want my students to be welcomed into a new classroom. Our school district has recently just opened the door to the students due to COVID-19 restrictions. I want my students to feel energized and excited to learn. I just moved my classroom into another building and I am redoing the classroom with another teacher for the next school year. The past 13 months have been very difficult for all the students while dealing with remote learning and different schedule changes. I am hoping a new classroom, repainted and redone will inspire the students and get them excited about the school year. Please help me share these new decorations with my upcoming ESL class and give them a new energy when they enter the classroom!

We are finally hybrid and in September we will go back full time Face-to-Face.

Most of our decorations need to be freshen up and replaced. A clean, well decorated learning environment will help the students feel welcomed and enthusiastic about the new school year! These materials will help decorate my bulletin boards and will make the room look pleasant. Students deserve a place to learn that is comfortable and inviting. That is a key to helping them feel comfortable.
