This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These books and sensory products will transform my office into a sanctuary for recovery and reflection for my young students. It’s a space not only for addressing challenges, but also for seeking refuge and support in navigating difficult emotions. Each book has been thoughtfully selected to address common behaviors and struggles that students often face.

By providing these resources, my students will gain a deeper understanding of their emotions and recognize that they are not alone in experiencing these feelings.

They have already demonstrated impressive self-reflection and a desire to grow, and this project will further enhance their coping skills, empowering them on their journey toward resilience.
